Did you ever follow my instructions here http: They are not clones, just another box that can use e2. I think the it's more a choice of personal taste. Nothing that would make me choose it if another reason outweighed it on the duo. Much prefer to just grab the laptop or use my phone for that ; Both boxes are virtually the same when running the same image.

Can't remember hdfraks full ins and outs, but from what I remember, the older bootloader only allows images under a certain size to be flashed. Youtube is or was at least working as a plugin on the box. We'll update this thread with our findings once we receive the ET Sent from my GT-I using Tapatalk. I usually hdfrdaks all my commonly used plugins in a folder on my pc for just this type of thing. There is an internet browser available iirc, but I never used it.
I have had my for about 4 months and its never given me any problems.

The USB stick being used by Canthackit had number of files on the stick.
Why does that not surprise me. All wishful thinking for a few years time tho, when the newest box of the times are out costing the earth again ;: I'd have thought it had since the sponser sent it out with the ViX image preinstalled, but maybe in all your flashing, you overwrote it with an older one or something?!
The ViX image needs the latest bootloader to be installed, as without it, the box is unable to install the ViX image. They're both quite similar, but I personally think that the et gives a slightly better picture.
Nothing that would make me choose it if another reason outweighed it on the duo. D its all a process of trial an error. No its not advisable to use a settings backup from one model et9000 another.

We received the ET back from Canthackit, as suspected it was user error. The et has a slightly better spec, but both are good boxes. The root of the USB stick had a number of hidden files on it. Personally I might just lean towards the et, but as I said, it's your choice. Credit to you for stickin at it as im sure sum wuda given up but least u know where to go from here so gud luck to ya n let us kmw hw u get on. As for unresponsive remote, I would check the batteries as mine exhibited similar behaviour and the batteries had gone, probably cheap brand.

Sorry Steff but the fact remains i can flash the box with any other image but the vix just will not go on there. Basically, clark-tech first bought them out, but xtrend are now the manufactuers releasing them. You won't notice any difference in my view.
Either way, you won't regret it. Would need a plugin created to allow you to access your iptv. After the test last night we formated a stick few times using a mac and copied the flash files accross and we do have to admit a couple of the times the unit would not flash.
The ViX image was too big to be flashed, so needed the updated boot loader
